Our Society since it’s foundation in 1914 has the primary objective to take part and encourage the feast of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Patroness of the Society and of the town of Sliema, which is held annually on the 3rd Sunday of August. The teaching of the arts of music has always been a raison d’être for our society, while various social and religious activities are held for our members and their families. On this website you can find all the information about these cultural, musical, religious and social activities that are held throughout the year within our society.
The club’s history, together with that of the Stella Maris Parish church is also given much exposure. This website is characterized by frequent updates that vary from interesting write ups, photos and news about current events that are occurring at the Parish Church, the Stella Maris Band Club and in our beloved town of Sliema. Besides promoting our society through this site, we look forward to establish contacts with others musical societies and to keep in touch with Maltese emigrants especially those from Sliema.
